Toronto FC announced today that the club has placed forward Jordan Perruzza on waivers.
Perruzza, 23, joined the club as a Homegrown Player on August 20, 2020, and scored two goals across 30 combined appearances (MLS regular season, Canadian Championship, Concacaf Champions League and Leagues Cup). The Toronto, Ontario native made his First Team debut against Club León in the Concacaf Champions League on April 14, 2021, and scored his first TFC goal against Atlanta United on October 30, 2021. He also spent time with Toronto FC II, scoring 20 goals through a combined 44 appearances across six seasons (2018 – 2019, 2021 – 2024) for the Young Reds. He originally joined the Toronto FC Academy in January 2013.
Perruzza also spent time on loan with Halifax Wanderers FC of the Canadian Premier League (CPL) during the 2023 season, where he scored two goals and added an assist through 11 CPL appearances.
