Toronto FC’s senior Academy team enjoyed a banner year, going unbeaten in League One’s inaugural campaign to capture the title.
A chance at the double slipped away when the Academy fell in the League Cup semifinals, but it was still a tremendous season for head coach Michael Stefano’s side.
Individual accolades have followed for three of the team’s most important players.
Midfielder Christopher Mannella, who graduated to the senior team this season and served as captain, defender Mateo Restrepo and striker Molham Babouli were named to the League One best XI this week.
Restrepo and Babouli will hope to follow Mannella’s path to the big club next season.

The second half of the Men’s NCAA college season is well underway, and Top Drawer Soccer, a prolific American scouting outfit, has named their top 100 players and top 100 freshman players through the midway point of the season.
TFC Academy players feature on each list.
