The Beast is back and better than ever to start the 2019 season.

After missing most of the 2018 season through injury, Jozy Altidore has hit the ground running in his return to the pitch, scoring three goals in all three of his appearances to start the season. The American international put in his best performance yet on Saturday afternoon, involved in both goals of Toronto FC's 2-2 draw with the Chicago Fire on April 6 at BMO Field.

Altidore opened the scoring in the 31st minute, nodding home a terrific cross from Alejandro Pozuelo at the back post. The striker then turned provider with his side trailing in the second half. Floating out on the right wing, Altidore beat his defender 1v1 before driving the perfect delivery to the back post where Jonathan Osorio was waiting to head home the equalizer.
