First start, first goal, first Team of the Week nod for Ayo Akinola.

The 19-year-old TFC Academy product made headlines with his bullish performance in Toronto FC's 3-2 win over the New England Revolution. Akinola opened the scoring in the 14th minute with a beautiful curler to level the match, a strike up for Week 3 Goal of the Week.

The striker then turned provider on the go-ahead goal just before the stroke of halftime, finding Jay Chapman down the wing who squared one across for Jordan Hamilton to tap home.
