Another hometown hero has emerged for Toronto FC.

Mississauga native and York University product Ryan Telfer made his presence felt in a big win in Friday's 2-1 win over Orlando City SC, scoring the game-winning goal in the 87th minute. His stellar performance was recognized league-wide with his first-ever MLS Team of the Week nod to go along his Goal of the Week nomination.

Telfer also earned the Audi Player Index Performance of the Week after scoring his first MLS goal in a 2-1 win over Orlando City SC, picking up 1,115 points, best in MLS. In addition to his game-winning goal (285 points) and his five take-ons won (175 points), he completed 65 percent of his passes in the opposition half.
