Toronto FC coach Preki may use tonight’s Carlsberg Cup clash against Bolton Wanderers to watch some trialists in match action. Four trialists who have spent time training with the Reds in recent weeks have been cleared to play in tonight’s match if Preki decides to include them in the squad. It is highly unlikely that they will start the match, but they could be named as substitutes after their club’s granted them permission to play in the game.
There are three trialists from the Canadian Soccer League and one from the Premier Developmental League. Mirko Medic is a defender from Serbian White Eagles who previously played for FK Mladost Llucani in Serbia’s top division and was named the CSL Defender of the Year last year.
Midfielder Drazen Vukovic and forward Miodrag Andjelkovic both play for Brantford Galaxy. Bas Ent plays for Dayton Dutch Lions FC in the Premier Developmental League. He is a Dutch winger who has represented his country at youth level and spent time during his career with FC Volendam in the top division in the Netherlands.
