TORONTO – Argentine forward Maximiliano Urruti had a training session with Toronto FC on Wednesday morning. The 22-year old arrived at the Kia Training Ground in Downsview Park and was kitted in a number 37 shirt before taking part in regular exercises with the first team.

Urruti has been targeted by Toronto for several months with club president and general manager Kevin Payne monitoring his situation with Newell’s Old Boys of Argentina. As per a club statement released via TorontoFC.ca on Tuesday evening, Toronto is working to finalize a deal that would make the striker an official TFC player.

TFC head coach Ryan Nelsen spoke to the media about the current state of negotiations for Urruti and about the player’s appearance at Downsview on Wednesday.
