Now that’s how you start a tournament.
Toronto FC’s U-12 squad battled Barcelona to a 2-2 draw at the Arousa Futbol 7 tournament in Vilagarcia de Arousa, Spain.
Nakye Greenidge-Duncan and Stefano Capano scored the two memorable goals in the seven-on-seven game that featured two 30 minute periods.
Later on that day head coach Gianni Cimini’s team secured a 5-0 win against Spain’s ED Xuventu Oroso.
The team sits at the top of Group C after day one, with matches against Ajax and Deportivo La Coruna to come on Saturday. The tournament features 20 teams in total. Cimini's squad qualified for the tournament after winning the first ever U-12 tournament at the Generation Adidas Cup in Frisco, Texas.
