Toronto FC players called up for October FIFA international window

Two Toronto FC players have been called up for their National Teams ahead of the upcoming international window for friendly and Concacaf Nations League matches.

Midfielder Jonathan Osorio will represent the Canadian Menā€™s National Team (CMNT) when Les Rouges take on Japan in an international friendly. The match, named the Mizuho Blue Dream Match 2023, will take place on Friday, October 13 (6:35 a.m. ET) at the Denka Big Swan Stadium in Niigata, Japan. Osorio, 31, has earned 68 caps and scored nine goals for the CMNT since making his debut in a friendly against Costa Rica on May 28, 2013.

Goalkeeper TomƔs Romero has been named to represent the El Salvador National Team in a pair of Concacaf Nations League matches during the October international window. Romero and La Selecta will continue their Concacaf Nations League campaign on Friday, October 13, facing Martinique at Stade Pierre-Aliker in Fort-de-France, Martinique (7:00 p.m. ET), before hosting Martinique on Tuesday, October 17, at Estadio MƔgico GonzƔlez in San Salvador (9 p.m. ET). Romero, 22, has earned 10 caps for the El Salvador National Team since making his debut with the senior team in a friendly against Ecuador on November 5, 2021.
