Toronto FC continues on the road to opening kick on Wednesday night, when they will face the PDL’s Ventura County Fusion (6 PM PT/ 9 PM ET) in a scrimmage at Anteater Stadium at the University of California, Irvine campus.
The Reds are coming off of a solid 4-0 victory over Cal State Fullerton in which a number of the club’s younger players impressed with an up tempo, pressurized attack in the second half.
TFC veterans that started the match on Monday are expected to get another 45 minute look on Wednesday night as the coaching staff aims to solidify the structure and shape ethos that have been the focus of camp in Southern California.
Three centre-back pairings, Moor-Perquis, Williams-Zavaleta and Thomas-Hagglund, will likely rotate in during the match, while the forward and midfield groups will resemble the squad that took part in Monday’s scrimmage.
