Toronto FC picked up its first three points of the season on Saturday night, besting Inter Miami CF 2-0.
After a scoreless first half, Jonathan Osorio broke the deadlock in the 47th minute. The Brampton native finished off a wonderful team move, redirecting a cross from Richie Laryea to give the Reds a 1-0 lead.
TFC would find the insurance goal in the 69th minute from a set piece just outside the area. Federico Bernardeschi lifted a ball towards the far post where Mark-Anthony Kaye rose up to head the ball past Miami goalkeeper Drake Callender.
In defence, Sean Johnson picked up his first clean sheet with the club to ensure all three points for the home side.
The Reds return to action on Saturday, March 25 in a west coast clash with the San Jose Earthquakes.
