Toronto FC II announced Friday that the club has signed midfielder Bubacarr Jobe to a USL contract.
As per club and league policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed. He will be added to the roster upon receipt of his Canadian work permit.
“Bubacarr is an athletic midfielder that can aid our team both In attack and defensive areas of the pitch,” said Toronto FC II Head Coach Jason Bent.
“He has spent time with us on trial and displayed qualities both on and off the pitch that we are looking for in a soccer player.”
Jobe, 20, most recently spent time with the Austin Aztex of the Premier Development League. He appeared in 12 matches, registering seven goals and four assists.
In 2014 he was named Montgomery County Player of the Year by Houston Community Newspapers after scoring a school-record 31 goals as a junior for Woodlands High School.
Jobe scored four goals in five games for Force Football Club Academy during the 2013 Super-20 Championships, earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team, MVP honours and top goal scorer of the tournament.
