Toronto FC announced today that Mike Sorber will serve as TFC’s assistant coach & Technical Director and Paul Stalteri as an assistant coach on Head Coach & Sporting Director Bob Bradley’s staff.

Sorber joins TFC after spending the past four seasons as assistant coach with Los Angeles FC (2018-2021). Prior to LAFC, Sorber had assistant coaching stints with the Philadelphia Union (2014-2017) and Montreal Impact (2011-2013). Sorber previously worked with Bradley as an assistant with the U.S. Men’s National Team (2007-2011). Sorber also served as an assistant coach with his alma mater, Saint Louis University (2001-2007). As a player, Sorber made 67 appearances for the U.S. Men's National Team and played in all four of the USMNT's matches at the 1994 FIFA World Cup. He became the first American to be named a Mexican League All-Star with UNAM Pumas in 1995 before spending time in MLS with the Kansas City Wizards, MetroStars and Chicago Fire. Sorber was inducted into the St. Louis Soccer Hall of Fame in October 2017. 

Stalteri, a long-time Canadian national team player, spent the last two seasons as assistant coach of Canadian Premier League (CPL) side, York United FC, helping the team make the playoffs for the first time in franchise history in 2021. As a player, Stalteri made 84 appearances for the Canadian Men’s National Team between 1997 and 2010. With Canada, he won the 2000 Concacaf Gold Cup, was twice named Canadian Player of the Year (2001 and 2004), was named to the All-Tournament Team at the 2007 Concacaf Gold Cup and captained Canada in 30 matches from 2007 to 2010. At the club level, Stalteri began his career with Toronto Lynx before spending majority of his playing career in Europe, representing Werder Bremen, Tottenham Hotspur, Fulham and Borussia Mönchengladbach between 1998 and 2011. Stalteri was inducted into the Canada Soccer Hall of Fame in September 2017.
