Toronto FC defender Ashtone Morgan, midfielders Jay Chapman, Jonathan Osorio, forwards Tosaint Ricketts, Jordan Hamilton, Mo Babouli and Toronto FC II forward Raheem Edwards have been named to interim Canadian Head Coach Michael Findlay’s 28-man roster for the team’s first camp of 2017 and a friendly match. Canada will meet Bermuda on Sunday, January 22 at Bermuda National Stadium in Hamilton, Bermuda.

Morgan, 25, appeared in nine matches registering one assist for Toronto FC during the 2016 season across MLS league play and the Amway Canadian Championship. He missed majority of the 2016 season with a foot injury. Morgan has earned 13 caps for the Canadian national team. He made his debut for Canada on May 28, 2013 in a friendly against Costa Rica. Morgan has represented Canada at the 2015 and 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Osorio, 24, appeared in 40 matches, registering six goals and five assists for Toronto FC during the 2016 season across MLS league play, the Amway Canadian Championship and the MLS Cup playoffs. Osorio has earned 15 caps for the Canadian national team. He made his debut for Canada on May 28, 2013 in a friendly against Costa Rica. Osorio has represented Canada at the 2015 and 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Chapman, 23, split time between Toronto FC and its USL affiliate Toronto FC II during the 2016 season. With Toronto FC, he has made a combined 19 appearances, registering two assist between MLS league matches and the Amway Canadian Championship. With Toronto FC II, he appeared in two matches. This marks Chapman's first call up to the Canadian Men’s national Senior squad. He has represented Canada at the 2015 Pan American Games.
Ricketts, 29, appeared in 17 matches, registering five goals and one assist for Toronto FC during the 2016 season across MLS league play and the MLS Cup playoffs. Ricketts has earned 54 caps and scored 14 goals for the Canadian national team. He made his debut for Canada on February 9, 2011 in a friendly match against Greece. He scored his first goal for Canada during a 2–2 friendly match against Ecuador on June 1, 2011 at BMO Field. Ricketts has represented Canada at the 2015, 2013 and 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Hamilton, 20, split time between Toronto FC and its USL affiliate Toronto FC II during the 2016 season. With Toronto FC, he has made a combined 18 appearances, registering five goals and one assist between MLS league matches and the Amway Canadian Championship. During the 2016 USL season, he appeared in four matches. Hamilton scored his first career goal for Toronto FC on June 1 against the Montreal Impact in the first leg of the semi-finals during the Amway Canadian Championship. He also scored his first MLS goal on June 25 against Orlando City SC. He has earned two caps for the Canadian national team. He made his debut for Canada on October 14, 2014 in a friendly against Colombia.
Babouli, 24, split time between Toronto FC and its USL affiliate Toronto FC II during the 2016 season. With Toronto FC, he has made a combined 20 appearances, registering three assists between MLS league matches and the Amway Canadian Championship. During the 2016 USL season, he appeared in seven matches, registering two assists. This marks Babouli's first call up to the Canadian Men’s national Senior squad. He has represented Canada at the 2015 Pan American Games.
Edwards, 21, spent the majority of the 2016 season with Toronto FC II where he appeared in 20 matches, registering six goals and four assists. He was also named to the USL Team of the Week for Week 3. Edwards made his Toronto FC debut as a substitute on June 29 against Vancouver Whitecaps FC in the 2016 Amway Canadian Championship. He later made his MLS debut on July 2 against Seattle Sounders FC as a substitute. Edwards earns his first call up to the Canadian Men’s national Senior squad. He has represented Canada at the 2015 Pan American Games.
