Toronto FC announced Friday that the club has acquired forward Alan Gordon from Chivas USA in exchange for midfielder Nick LaBrocca. Gordon, 29, will join the team in Toronto next week.
“Alan is a good, strong striker and can be a leader on the pitch. He is a player that wants to win,” said Toronto FC Head Coach and Technical Director Aron Winter. “I would like to thank Nick LaBrocca for his contribution here and wish him well at his new club.”
Gordon was drafted 53rd overall in 2004 by the LA Galaxy and stayed with Los Angeles until August 2010 when he was traded to Chivas USA.
