It was a battle between two of the top teams in League1 Ontario on Sunday night.
Toronto FC III headed up to Vaughan Groves Sports Park to take on the Eastern Division leading Woodbridge Strikers.
The Red came out of the gate with a purpose and had a tremendous opportunity within the first minute. Cyrus Rollocks got in on Woodbridge ‘keeper Quillan Roberts but the former Red was up to the task and denied Rollocks the opener.
Both teams traded chances before the half but it remained scoreless.
Reds’ ‘keeper Gianluca Catalano made a few key stops in the second half to keep the hosts off the board. The Reds had a couple of chances in the late stages of the second half but Roberts stood tall.
The game ended in a 0-0 stalemate. The draw moves TFC III to 8-2-2 on the season. Next up for the Reds is a road match against Ottawa South United Force on Saturday.
