Lorenzo Insigne named to Week 29 MLS Team of the Week

As the regular season winds down, one of Toronto's biggest stars continues to shine in his debut campaign.

On the heels of another big performance, Lorenzo Insigne has been named to the Week 29 MLS Team of the Week bench, his 4th honour since joining MLS in July.

The Italian international was lively in his first Canadian Classique against rivals CF Montreal and wasted little time making his presence felt in the derby.

After a Federico Bernardeschi penalty staked the Reds to an early 1-0 lead, Insigne doubled the TFC advantage in the 7th minute with a stunning volley inside the area.

Insigne would complete his brace in the waning stages of the match, taking advantage of a miscommunication at the back to claw the Reds back within one.
