Toronto FC striker Danny Koevermans was named MLS Player of the Week by the North American Soccer Reporters for Week 27, the league announced on Monday
Koevermans scored both goals in Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Colorado Rapids at BMO Field. In seven league games this season the Dutch striker has scored six goals.

He joins teammate Joao Plata in earning Player of the Week honours, the Ecuadorian striker won the award in Week 8. Koevermans signed with Toronto FC on Wednesday June 29 as a designated player along with midfielder Torsten Frings. The striker has logged 511 minutes in league play so far this season.
