The Kia Toronto FC Academy held their first Talent Identification Program screening days at the Kia Training Grounds this past week.

The purpose of the Talent Identification Program is to bring in top players from the Greater Toronto Area to participate in tryouts for their respective age group.

The aim is to collaborate with youth clubs in providing their top prospects with an elite standard environment for talent assessment and to create and track a talent pool of potential Academy prospects.

The program lasted three days in which each day was dedicated to one of the three age groups: U-10, U-11, and U-12.

The program is strictly invitational and based on club recommendations and internal scouting.

Each athlete that participates in the Talent ID Program will either be invited to further U10-U12 Kia Toronto FC Academy Team Tryouts in November/December or to the Kia Toronto FC Academy Open Tryouts in October.
