The Junior Kia Toronto FC Academy team will be travelling to Pordenone, Italy to participate in the fifteenth “Torneo Dell’Amicizia Giovanile Internazionale” or “International Youth Friendship Soccer Tournament.”

The tournament will run from the 26th to the 29th of August in San Giorgio della Richinvelda and other areas in the province of Pordenone.

Each team is guaranteed three matches in the Qualifying Phase.

The top three teams in each group as well as the best second place team between all the groups will then move on to play in the semi-finals, followed by the finals on August 29th.

The tournament will host 12 clubs including several well-known European teams such as FC Porto, Inter Milan, and Udinese Calcio. It’s a great opportunity for the young Reds to gain some experience playing against international talent.

The team is set to arrive in Italy on the 24th before travelling to Croatia to play an exhibition game in preparation for the tournament.
