Altidore vs. Mexico

United States of America - Michael Bradley & Jozy Altidore

Toronto FC captain Michael Bradley and striker Jozy Altidore each played the full 90 minutes as the United States fell 2-1 to Mexico in a thriller in Columbus on Friday night.


Miguel Layun opened the scoring for the visitors in the 20th minute. The United States would equalize after Altidore assisted on Bobby Wood's goal in the 49th. Thirty-seven year-old Mexican captain Rafael Marquez would tally the winner in the 89th minute for El Tri.

The United States will now travel to San Jose to take on Costa Rica on Tuesday. Costa Rica defeated Trinidad and Tobago 2-0 in their “Hex” opener Thursday night.


Panama - Armando Cooper
Armando Cooper played 90 minutes as Panama opened up their "Hex" with a 1-0 away win over Honduras in San Pedro Sula on Friday. Fidel Escobar's goal extended Panama's unbeaten run over Honduras to six games. 
Cooper and his teammates will return home to Panama City, where they will host Mexico at Estadio Rommel Fernández on November 15.
