We sat down with the TFC II defender/midfielder to find out who he’d pick to go up against 1 v 1.
Q: Describe yourself on the pitch vs. off the pitch?
Generally on the field I’m an aggressive player but it depends on the game. I can also be a very calm player.
Off the field I’m more of a calm, relaxed kind of person.
Q: What are some things you like to do on your downtime?
I like to sit back and watch games like Copa America right now. I like to chill at home too especially because I haven’t seen my family in a while so I’m always around home as much as I can.
Q: Favourite soccer team?
First is Barcelona and second would be Club Atletico Penarol from Uruguay.
Q: Favourite player?
Ronaldinho.
Q: How do you prepare for game day?
Eat well, lots of water and lots of music. I typically listen to Drake and some Spanish music as well.
Q: Messi or Ronaldo?
Messi.
Q: If you had a chance to defend a player 1 vs. 1, who would you pick?
Just to be able to say that I did it, it would have to be Messi.
Q: What is one or some of your greatest soccer achievements?
Signing pro for TFC II, playing for Canada at the youth ranks, and playing in South America.
Q: If you weren’t playing soccer what would you be doing?
I’d be around the game for sure. I think I’d be in the fitness industry.
Q: What player do you like to emulate your game off of?
It would have to be [Javier] Mascherano.
Q: Best FIFA player on the team? Is it Chris Mannella?
Yeah it is, I can’t lie. I’ve never seen anyone that can beat him.
