GA Cup U12 Day Two Recap

U12s Day Two

Dallas – The Toronto FC Academy U12s put together a pair of dominant performances to close out the group stage of their 2017 GA Cup.


The team opened the day with a 3-0 victory over the Colorado Rapids Academy. Josh Gordon opened the scoring and Pariss Mitchell added a double in the second half to help lead the Reds to victory.


In the second match the Reds went all out on the attack against D.C. United and came away with a 4-0 victory. Kyrese Lynch-Bailey opend the scoring and Lucas Olgiun doubled the lead. Dante Lomangino finished off a lovely build up play and Josh Gordon tapped home the fourth just before the half.


The Toronto FC Academy U17 team was out in full force to support their younger brethren against D.C. United.

Keeper Nicholas Allison was sharp for the Reds; he made a tremendous stop on a D.C. free kick late into the second half. Allison and the Reds kept two clean sheets on the day.


The U12s finished the group stage with a 3-1-0 good for second place. The team will be back in action tomorrow with a pair of placement games.
