U-17 Division
The Toronto FC Academy U-17s kicked off their 2017/18 Generation adidas Cup with a convincing 3-0 victory over the Houston Dynamo on Friday morning.
The Reds opened the scoring courtesy of Jaytin Pabla. Pabla strode into the box and curled home a beauty with his right foot to give the Reds the lead.
Just after the halftime restart, the Reds doubled their lead off a corner kick. The ball fell to Lucas Areco who blasted the ball into the upper left corner.
The Reds sealed the victory when Jacen Russell-Rowe broke in and chipped the Dynamo ‘keeper from just outside the 18.
Houston’s attempts to get back into the game were denied by Nick Christoffersen, who earned the clean sheet in the victory.
Elsewhere in the U-17 division FC Dallas defeated the Columbus Crew 4-0 and the Colorado Rapids knocked off the Chicago Fire in PKs.

U-15 Division
The Toronto FC Academy U-15s fell at the hands of the Columbus Crew 2-0 on Friday afternoon.
The Crew struck first when Cameron McIntosh curled home a ball that was crossed into him from the far wing.
Columbus doubled their lead shortly after as Samuel Massick volleyed the ball in off a well-worked set piece.
Just after the halftime restart, the Reds looked to have gotten an opportunity to cut the lead to one as they were awarded a penalty kick. However, the Columbus ‘keeper was up to the task and stopped the PK.
Elsewhere in the U-15 division, the Chicago Fire defeated the Colorado Rapids 1-0. TFC return to action tomorrow as they take on the Colorado Rapids at 2:30 PM. A livestream of the match will be available on Toronto FC’s Youtube Channel.
