Toronto FC announced Tuesday that the club has signed defender Logan Emory. As per team and league policies, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“Logan is a strong young defender and he has many qualities we like to see in a player,” said Toronto FC Head Coach and Technical Director, Aron Winter. “We were impressed with his work ethic during his trial period in Orlando and I felt he performed well against Vancouver in our final preseason match. Logan gives us another option in defence and fits in well with our team’s style of play.”
Emory, 24, most recently played for Puerto Rico Islanders of USSF Division 2 Professional League. He began his professional career with the Islanders in 2010 and left the club at the conclusion of the 2011 season. Emory played for the University of Portland before turning pro.
Emory was on trial with Toronto FC during this past preseason in Orlando.
