Dallas Final Recap

TFC III vs, Macabbi

Dallas – All three Toronto FC Academy teams wrapped up their tournaments on Saturday afternoon.

The Toronto FC Academy U-12s got the day started with a victory over the Seattle Sounders. The Reds jumped ahead on a 7th minute strike by Kyrese Lynch-Bailey. The team doubled their lead on a Pariss Mitchell blast. Keeper Eric De Piero came up with a pair of massive saves to keep the Rave Green off the board.

The U-12s then took on LAFC Academy in their final placement game of the tournament. Both teams played tough on the defensive end and it took a worldly goal from LA in the second half to break the deadlock. The U-12s finished their GA Cup with a 4-2-0 record.

Next up was Toronto FC III as they took on Israeli side Maccabi Haifa F.C. in a friendly. TFC III opened the scoring in the 4th minute on an Armando Caracciolo goal. Daniel DaSilva played in Caracciolo whose initial shot was stopped, but Caracciolo potted the rebound.

Maccabi evened the score just before the end of the first half. Keeper Brogan Engbers made a couple of key stops in the second half. The game ended 1-1 after 70 minutes.

Finally, the Toronto FC U-17s were in action against Real Salt Lake. The game ended 0-0 and went to PKs to decide the winner. Keeper Sebastian Sgarbossa stopped three Salt Lake kicks before Mehdi Essoussi stepped up and slotted home the winner.
