U-14s go undefeated in Houston
The Toronto FC U-14 (2003) team went undefeated in their Copa Rayados Internacional tournament this past week in Houston, Texas.
The Reds finished the group stage with a 1-0-3 record and qualified for the bronze medal placement round.
The boys opened the tournament with a scoreless draw with FC Dallas and a 1-1 draw with Atlanta United FC on Wednesday. NaKye Greenidge-Duncan had the goal against Atlanta.
On Thursday, TFC defeated Mineros de Zacatecas (Mexico) 1-0 on a goal from Lowell Wright and then drew Atlas FC (Mexico) 0-0.
In the bronze medal semifinal, the Reds defeated FC Utrecht (Netherlands) 3-0 with goals from Kosi Thompson, Stefano Capano, and Christian Zeppieri. In the bronze final, the Reds knocked off the Houston Dynamo 4-1 with Thompson, Matthew Medeiros, Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty, and Luca Accettola.

Two teams off to Florida for USSDA Winter Showcase
Two Toronto FC Academy squads are off to Florida this week for the USSDA Winter Showcase. A team of 1999/2000 born players and a team of 2001/2002 born players will be competing in the showcase.
The 1999/2000 team will open the tournament on Thursday against Real Colorado. They will then take on Orlando City SC on Friday and close out the round against the Colorado Rapids on Sunday.
The 2001/2002 squad opens up against FC Golden State on Friday and then plays Atlanta United FC on Saturday and Orlando City SC on Monday.
