U-13s finish in 4th place at CONCACAF Champions League
The Toronto FC Academy U-13 (2004) team finished their U-13 CONCACAF Champions League run with a 4th place finish on Saturday morning.
After a strong group stage and dramatic quarterfinal victory, the Reds faced off with Costa Rican side L.D. Alajuelense in the semifinals. Alajuelense took the match 1-0 after a gutsy effort from the Reds.
The tournament was not over for the Reds as they went into the final day with an opportunity to finish in third place against Mexican side Fuerza Naranja. Naranja took the third place match by a final score of 1-0.
The 4th place finish was the highest finish by an MLS side. ‘Keeper Dino Bontis was awarded the tournament’s Golden Glove for his performance in net.

U-16s complete perfect season, OSL Update
The Toronto FC Academy U-16 (2001) team that competes in the OSL U-21 Provincial division capped off a perfect season this weekend with a dominant performance over Glenn Shields.
The team won their final game of the season by a score of 11-1. Osaze De Rosario led the way with four goals and Tom Akinola added a hat trick. Julian Altobelli had a brace and Salvatore Mazzaferro and Daniel Assaf added the others.
The team finishes atop the OSL table with a 12-0-0 record.
The Toronto FC Academy U-17 (2000) team that competes in the OSL U-21 Elite division had a solid week winning both of their matches.
They opened the week with a 7-0 win over Wexford. Zakaria Abdi had four goals. Kunle Dada-Luke, Jayden Nelson, and Steffan Yeates added the others.
They then put on a show on Saturday defeating FC London 14-0. Terique Mohammed had four goals. Ryan Robinson (3), Mehdi Essoussi (2), Lucas Areco (2), Kunle Dada-Luke, Luke Singh and Colin Gander also found their way on the score sheet.
U-16's turn in Mexico
The Toronto FC Academy U-16 (2001) team is now off to Mexico to compete in the 2017 Liga MX International Tournament. The tournament features top MLS and Liga MX Academy talent in a seven match nine-day marathon.
The Reds will open the tournament on August 17th against the LA Galaxy Academy. They will then play CD Toluca, Club Atlas and Santos Laguna from Mexico and Atlanta United FC and FC Dallas. They will close out their tournament on August 25th with a match against Mexican side C.F. Pachuca.

Five U-15s called into CANMT
Five Toronto FC Academy athletes have made the Canada Soccer U-15 roster for the upcoming CONCACAF U-15 Boys’ Championship.
Congratulations and good luck to Julian Accettola, Cameron DaSilva, Malik Henry, Jayden Nelson and Ralph Priso-Mbongue.
OPDL Update:
The Toronto FC Academy U-15 (2002) team that competes in the OPDL U-16 division blanked Markham 4-0. Sebastian Nuzzo, Julian Altobelli, Matthew Wrobel and Sidney Paris each scored in the victory.
The Toronto FC Academy U-14 (2003) team that competes in the OPDL U-15 division defeated the Whitby Iroquois 6-0 over the weekend. Stefano Capano had a hat trick. Ben Kaplan, Kosi Thompson, and Kobe Franklin had the others.
