OPDL Cup
The Toronto FC Academy U-15 and U-14 teams both had their OPDL cup runs ended this weekend in the Semifinals of the tournament.
The U-15 (2002) team that competes in the OPDL U-16 division fell out to Hamilton United on penalty kicks 2-2 (4-3) on Saturday. Theodor Corbeanu and Julian Accettola had the goals for the Reds.
The U-14 (2003) team that competes in the OPDL U-15 division dropped its Semifinal match 3-1 to West Ottawa. Lowell Wright had the goal for the Reds.
The U-14 team advanced to the Semifinals earlier in the week with a 3-0 defeat of Markham in the Quarterfinals. Kosi Thompson scored a brace and Kobe Franklin had the other goal.
OPDL League Play
The Toronto FC Academy U-13 (2004) team that competes in the OPDL U-14 division had a strong week in league play.
They opened the week with a 5-3 victory over Kleinburg Nobleton. Jahkeele Marshall-Ruty scored four goals and Keegan Walker added the other in the victory.
The U-13s closed out the weekend with a 1-1 draw against Unionville. Marshall-Ruty had the goal in the match.
On short rest, the Academy U-15 (2002) team dropped their league match 4-3 to West Ottawa just a day after their OPDL Cup match. Accettola, Julian Altobelli, and Malik Henry had the goals.
