Academy Update

This is your Toronto FC Academy update for the weekend of April 28-30.

Toronto FC III

Toronto FC III opened their 2017 League One Ontario campaign with a convincing 6-0 victory over FC London. The Reds got a hat trick from Ethan Beckford and a brace from Nicholas Osorio. Substitute Daniel Da Silva had the other goal. Phil Di Bennardo got the start in goal and recorded his first clean sheet of the season.

Next up for the Reds is a clash against Sigma FC on Sunday, May 7. The match will be played at the Kia Training Ground and kick-off is set for 1:00 PM. The match will be streamed on the League One Ontario’s website.

U-14s in Vancouver

The Toronto FC U-14s will fly across the country this week to play in three friendly matches against local west coast teams. They will play the Whitecaps residency, followed by a BC Soccer select team, before closing out the week against the Seattle Sounders Academy team.

You can follow all of the action on twitter @TFCAcademy.

TFC Academy to host OPDL opening weekend

The Kia Training Grounds will be a busy place on Saturday, May 6 when we play host to the OPDL opening weekend. There will be a number of matches played throughout the day but our OPDL U-14s and OPDL U-13s will both be kicking off their OPDL seasons on Saturday.

Elsewhere the OPDL U-16 team will be kicking off their OPDL season against Vaughan on Sunday.

Good luck to all the teams next weekend and as always, you can follow @TFCAcademy on twitter for all of your academy updates.
