Toronto FC hosted the third annual 2015 U-15 Kia Cup at the Kia Training Ground this past weekend.

The Kia Cup is a great opportunity for both Kia and Toronto FC to help support the growth and development of soccer and youth in the community.

The tournament is part of the Kia Drive Change Program, Kia’s commitment to make a positive difference in communities across Canada.

Brampton Youth SC, who won the Boys Division, and Stoney Creek SC, who won the Girls Division, both received a $2,500 donation to a predetermined charity of their choice and a $2,500 equipment grant from Sport Chek.

Runners-up Cherry Beach SC and Darlington SC received a $1,500 donation to a predetermined charity of their choice and a $1,500 equipment grant from Sport Chek.

Third place teams Kitchener SC and Oakville SC received a $1,000 donation to a predetermined charity of their choice and a $1,000 equipment grant from Sport Chek.

The charity donations, awarded on behalf of Toronto FC and Kia Canada, are to help support local communities that the clubs represent.

Former Toronto FC and Canada Men’s National Team player Dwayne De Rosario was in attendance in support of the Drive Change initiative and awarded the players and teams their trophies.

Kia also had their Soccer Equipment Drive, a significant part of their Drive Change Program, in which they collected used soccer equipment such as cleats and shin guards to assist children who want to play and are in need of equipment.

New or used soccer equipment will continue to be accepted at any of the 188 Kia Dealerships across Canada until September 30th.
